What to do..

Yeah, right about when I wrote about routine and stuff? A few days after that I was informed that I was being laid off. Volvo Cars is in some serious shit and a few thousand people has been notified that they're being laid off. And since I've been working at a subcontractor to Volvo for just a month and a half I'm also out. *sigh*
So what to do now? Drivers license would be a nice thing to have and so I think I'll work on that. Then maybe back to school next year or something? I dunno..

<3 manga

Omfg Nodame Cantabile is awesomesterest.
I started watching the anime 2 days ago. Finished it in a day, and then went on to read the 12 volumes (so far) that continues after the anime (the anime ends at volume 9 i think it was). And now I just read the latest chapter and have to waiiiitttt for the next one. ;_;
Unless I try to find the raw scans of next chapter and use my withering skills in japanese to translate it. :X
Also; I know there's a j-drama of Nodame Cantabile too, but I absolutely REFUSE to watch that (or any other j-drama for that matter). :|

:UPDATE:
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I just read that Ninomiya Tomoko (who writes and draws Nodame) is taking a break from Nodame because she's having a baby. :( So no more Nodame until.. November or something I'm guessing. Bleh.. I guess I'll go catch up on Nana.

Routine

My life is slowly being forced into some kind of routine as of lately.
And I'm not sure I like it.
I'm working different shifts every week (night shift last week, morning shift this week) but the components of my day stay the same. Go up, go to work, go home......... play World of Warcraft!
Jesus that game swallowed me completely. I also logged on FFXI the other day just to check so my characters were still there and ended up playing for a few hours. The game is still great and with the new Level Sync-function it's even easier to get a party and level up. I'm going to keep playing WoW for a while now though. But I'll most definately return to FFXI now and then.
Also; Christer is moving down here to the civilized end of Sweden sometime in October! And crap now I got to get to work. :/

*sigh*

Damn you, Miriam.
I want to go back to Japan too.

Monday, August 18, 2008

Yeah yeah...

So I finally got a job!
Doing (probably) the exact same things I was doing before I went to Japan. Starting tonight (!) at 00.12 I'll be sorting screws and whatnots at IAC, a company that manufactures interior details for Volvo cars here in Gothenburg. :P

Also; Coca-Cola Light Green Tea is fucking disgusting and the people who came up with it should be shot. Actually, regular Coca-Cola Light is also disgusting.

Done

I'm done. The packing is done. My cellphone; canceled. Went to the post office this morning with three boxes of stuff that's going to reach Sweden in 1-3 months. :X Excitement.
And so I'm left with a feeling of..... what? I don't quite know. It's like my brain knows that I'm going home tomorrow after these 18 months in Japan, but I don't understand it. It doesn't feel like I'm actually going home.... or wait, there it was. I think. I got a feeling of relief and anxiety all at once. Relieved because I really am. I really do want to go back home. But at the same time not. I really like it here and I hope I'll come back in a not too distant future. I'll probably feel at ease for about 2 or maybe 3 weeks when I get back to Sweden, but then I'm probably going to feel like "Oh wait it's time to go back now, I need to go back there! HELP!" or something. I've been thinking for like 2 months that I won't be sad for leaving but I just realized that I really am. And it kinda surprised me. So I'm sitting here paralyzed. But I need to go. Staying at a hotel in Shinjuku tonight, and I need to go by the school and get a few papers, hope they're open. :P

Procrastination/Packing

Yeah, those Gundam-models came back and bit me in the ass real good. Cursed be me for letting them just lay there in their boxes instead of actually putting them together. So now I have 2 boxes full of crap that I'm gonna mail back to Sweden on Monday, and there's still one Gundam-model that I haven't packed! Further; the issue with my Japanese cellphone. Since I subscribed for 2 years but have used the phone for less than one I'll have to pay a fee when canceling it, a rather hefty fee of 10,000 yen. Money that I don't really have if I'm going to send previously mentioned packages. I'll probably have to buy another box just to get that other Gundam out of the way and GAAAHHH...
Also: Poop.

Money

Great news everyone!
Apparently, japanese yen bills can survive laundrying. I'm guessing they need to be in a pocket or something like in this particular case.

Thursday, January 31, 2008

Am I retarded?

Why do I go and buy ANOTHER Gundam-model when I already have two that haven't been completed yet? I don't even know where to put this dude. I have no room left? Why? Because it's fucking awesome I tell you.
